Cervical screening and cervical pathology
Cervical cancer is one of the few cancers that can be almost entirely prevented. Dr Kalhanova covers the full prevention pathway: liquid-based cytology (LBC), HPV testing, colposcopy with biopsy, and surgical treatment of pre-cancerous changes using LEEP. If a smear result comes back abnormal, the next steps are explained calmly and in order — no scare tactics, no unnecessary delays.

Fertility investigation covers both partners. During the consultation the doctor plans hormone tests, ovulation assessment, ultrasound and, where needed, onward referrals. Gynaecological endocrinology is a separate area of focus:
- polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and insulin resistance,
- irregular or painful periods,
- thyroid disorders affecting the menstrual cycle,
- hyperprolactinaemia and other hormonal imbalances,
- pregnancy planning and pre-conception preparation.
