Infertility is defined as no pregnancy after 12 months of regular unprotected intercourse (or 6 months if you are over 35). We help find the cause and plan the next steps.
Common causes of infertility
Causes can be female, male or both — so both partners should be assessed in parallel.
- ovulation disorders, e.g. PCOS or thyroid disease
- endometriosis
- blocked fallopian tubes
- uterine cavity changes (polyps, fibroids)
- abnormal semen parameters
How diagnostics work at Aurora Medical
We start with a detailed consultation and a gynaecological exam with transvaginal ultrasound, then tailor further tests to you.
- ultrasound with ovarian reserve (AFC) and ovulation monitoring
- hormone tests (incl. AMH, TSH, prolactin)
- tubal patency assessment (HyFoSy / Sono-HSG)
- semen analysis referral for your partner
What next?
Based on the results we prepare a plan: treating the cause, ovulation induction or — when indicated — referral to a fertility centre (IUI, IVF).

Yes. Male factors account for a large share of cases, so semen analysis is a basic part of diagnostics.
